Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman: To reportedly speak at Democratic National Convention
Top Hollywood actresses Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman will reportedly speak at the 2012 Democratic National Convention (DNC).
A tentative lineup has apparently been provided to CNN by a source, that the two stars and Scandal's Kerry Washington "secretly scheduled to speak" at the DNC.
This news comes after Clint Eastwood attended the Republican National Convention last week (August 30), where he infamously 'debated' with an empty chair representing President Barack Obama.
The director's speech has since been mocked in the media and by other celebrities, such as Jon Stewart and Kal Penn.
The three actresses are said to be due to appear after The Foo Fighters on the final night of the DNC - Thursday, September 6 - which is the night when Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will accept the nominations from their party.
CNN has also been told by a source that, they hope Johansson, Portman and Washington will appear together on stage.
However, a DNC official and representatives for the actresses have not confirmed the news.
During the 2008 US presidential race, Johansson, Portman and Washington supported Obama against Senator John McCain.
On September 4, the Democratic Party kicked off its convention in North Carolina.
