 Barack Obama: Reveals recipe of homemade beer
US president Barack Obama has revealed the secret recipe of his home-brewed 'Honey Ale'.
In a blog post entitled "Ale to the Chief", the White House detailed the secret ingredients, the BBC reports.
This secret recipe was revealed after 13,000 people signed an online petition for its release. One individual even filed a freedom of information request demanding its unveiling.
The head of state of the US has been drinking the beer during breaks on his election campaign and has even offered it to voters.
The beer ingredients for the beer include: light malt extract, amber crystal malt, honey, gypsum, yeast and corn sugar.
The head chef at The White House and head brewer Sam Kass, has said: "With public excitement about White House beer fermenting such a buzz, we decided we better hop right to it."
Although it is Kass who takes charge of the brewing, it has been said that the president is responsible for sourcing ingredients and providing equipment.
