 Tom Cruise: Takes interest in more challenging roles
Famous Hollywood's stars has paid tribute to actor Tom Cruise on Monday's Oprah Winfrey television show. The actor said that he hopes for more challenging roles and to work with the legendary stars like, Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro.
In the second part of Tom Cruise's sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, which has been telecasted on Monday, Tom Cruise has looked back over his 25 year career with a little help from his friends and costars.
On the show, Winfrey gifted audience with a box set of the actor's flicks, and showed off choice clips from his movies while the actor recounted his career. He told Winfrey, "I feel at home on that movie set. A lot of times I show up before the crew and I feel this is what I'm supposed to do".
The movie clips were interspersed with a videotape, in which celebrity friends and co-stars like Will Smith, Dustin Hoffman, Renee Zellweger, director Steven Spielberg, soccer player David Beckham and his wife, Victoria has congratulated the actor Tom Cruise.
Here are some of the top moments:
Will Smith said, "There's not a single piece of press ... a single image in the 25 years of his career that gets anywhere near capturing who he is".
Renee Zellweger said, "I didn't need to conjure motivation to say that line". She again said about her famous line, "You had me at 'hello'" from Jerry Maguire. "I walked in and there he was".
Victoria Beckham said, "Tom and Katie really know how to have a laugh."
Tom Cruise repaid the compliments in full, saying he hoped to work with "so many" other actors, among them Pacino and De Niro.
"I'm actually surprised how much I've accomplished," Tom Cruise, 45, said in response to an audience's question about whether he had done everything he set out to do.
Oprah Winfrey, whose syndicated show is seen by millions worldwide, aired the first half of her interview with Tom Cruise at the actor's Telluride, Colorado, home on Friday, when he dismissed the rumors of marital problems with his wife, Katie Holmes.  |
