 R. Kelly: Court denies media motion in his case
Time is not so bad for the musician R. Kelly. On Monday the Illinois Supreme Court has out rightly denied the emergency motion of the new organizations that have sought access to the sealed court records and transcripts that are related to pornography case of R. Kelly.
Details about this case have been gathered from sources. Forty one year old singer R. Kelly’s trial has been scheduled to begin on Friday. It would begin almost 6 years after the case went to a grand jury of Cook County.
The motion against R. Kelly was launched by famous news organizations like the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and The Associated Press. A request by WBEZ to join the case was called debatable and thus being denied by the court.
The news organizations had the desire that the Supreme Court should order the Cook County Circuit Court to unseal the records as soon as possible.
‘Judge Vincent Gaughan (GAWN)’ too has put forth his comment. He said that he is trying his best to defend R. Kelly's rights and avert information to influence all the prospective jurors.
As self defense R. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to have inappropriate contact with a minor. Not only that he has been charged for allegedly recording himself for having sex with thirteen year old underage girl sometime between 1st Jan. 1, 1998 to November 2000. |
