Geri Halliwell: Opens up about 'Spice Girls'- 'We will always love and accept each other'
Singer Geri Halliwell has insisted that, the Spice Girls will always "love and accept each other".
The performer declared that the bond she shares with Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton has been able to withstand their past feuds.
While revealing that her bandmates helped celebrate her 40th birthday during rehearsals for the London 2012 closing ceremony, Halliwell told Hello: "The girls were very sweet and made me feel special.
"There was a cake, lovely presents - an elegant, pretty necklace - and singing of course.
"No matter what's happened in the past, we love and accept each other. I always laugh most when I'm around them."
Furthermore, while speaking about the Spice Girls' performance at the Olympics, Halliwell revealed that the honor carried extra significance as it fell on her late father's birthday.
"Sadly he died six months before the Spice Girls, when I was 21," she said. "So doing the Olympics on his birthday was so sweet and poignant for me."
Reportedly, the Spice Girls made a deal not to reform again after the closing ceremony.
