 Nicki Minaj: Set to join 'American Idol' panel?
Top rapper Nicki Minaj is a frontrunner to join the American Idol panel, it has been reported.
The stylish performer looks to be joining Mariah Carey as a new judge on the Fox competition, Us Weekly claims.
As one source states that, Minaj is "100% confirmed" to join the show, another insider was more cautious.
"I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it," the source said. "A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening."
A number of stars have been linked to the American Idol spots vacated by Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler earlier this year.
The 'Starships' singer was recently forced to pull out of a string of concerts because of "vocal cord issues", but responded angrily to fans who complained on her Twitter page.
