Jake Gyllenhaal: Joins cast of 'Mississippi Grind'

Actor Jake Gyllenhaal has been cast in the Half Nelson creators' next project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jake has signed on to Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden's 'Mississippi Grind'.

This new film centres around a down-on-his-luck gambler who teams up with Gyllenhaal's younger gambling addict in a bid to turn his fortunes around.

With hopes of making their fortunes, the pair set off on a road trip.

Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden will direct the film from the screenplay they wrote.

The 'Brokeback Mountain' star will next be seen in End of Watch and later in An Enemy.
