Victoria Beckham: Announces new range of eyewear for 2013
Victoria Beckham expands eyewear collection with her new optical range.
The fashionista is set to debut a six-piece collection of glasses at Silmo Paris on October 4, although it will not arrive to retailers until January or February with each pair priced at about $410 (£263), reports WWD.
"I do need to wear glasses - [but] I haven't found glasses that suit me or that I particularly like," revealed Beckham, who is near-sighted herself. "I've always been quite self-conscious [about this], so that's why I've decided to do them myself."
Victoria added: "I will be wearing my glasses now, and it will be nice to see where I will be going for once."
Made from metal and acetate, the new Beckham frames are said to come in three colourways with styles ranging from "delicate and feminine" to unisex.
Each of these pairs of specs, which features a 'V' on its tips, is handcrafted in Italy and goes through four weeks of production and 37 assembly processes.
The singer-turned-designer is reportedly rehearsing with her fellow Spice Girls for the London 2012 Olympics.
