Drew Barrymore: Set to direct 'the end of the world'
Pretty and talented star Drew Barrymore will direct 'The End'.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the director and actress has signed on to Warner Bros' apocalyptic drama.
This new project is intended to take an uplifting look at the end of the world, weaving several plot threads about different people coming to accept their fates, which include a tenacious British radio DJ who will not stop broadcasting until the end, a teenage couple in the US being pulled apart by their families and a man fighting his way across Tokyo to be with his wife and child.
Aron Eli Coleite, 'Heroes' and 'The River' writer-producer, has delivered the script for the project, which has been in development since last year.
Actress Drew Barrymore made her directorial debut in 2009's 'Whip It', and is also in line to direct 'Heist Society' and 'How to Be Single'.
