Lady GaGa: Making film debut in 'Machete Kills', says Robert Rodriguez
Pop goddess Lady GaGa will make her movie debut in 'Machete Kills'.
Robert Rodriguez, the movie's director, revealed the news in a Twitter posting on Thursday (July 26).
"I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!" he wrote.
Rodriguez also revealed a promotional poster for the action movie which refers to the 'Born This Way' singer as 'La Chameleon' and features her holding a smoking gun.
The Lady also confirmed the news herself, writing: "Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing Machete Kills by @RODRIGUEZ I'M SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane."
The film started filming earlier this year and will feature Amber Heard, Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba and Zoe Saldana.
Actor Charlie Sheen will play the president of the United States in the film.
The predecessor of this film, 'Machete', began life as a spoof trailer in Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse. Released in 2010, it took $44 million (£28 million) at box offices worldwide.
