Ed Helms: Boycotting fast food chain over homophobia
Actor Ed Helms has announced plans to boycott the restaurant Chick-fil-A in protest against its president's anti-gay politics.
Recently, Dan Cathy, who is head of the Los Angeles-based chain, admitted to Christian magazine Baptist Press that the company opposes gay marriage.
The company donated almost $2m (£1.3 million) to religious organizations against gay marriage in 2010, according to TMZ.
Recently, Helms posted a response to Cathy's stance on gay marriage via his Twitter, saying: "Chick-fil-A doesn't like gay people? So lame. Hate to think what they do to the gay chickens! Lost a loyal fan."
Ed is amongst several celebrities who have spoken out against the restaurant, including Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus.
Recently, it was announced that, Helms is in talks to star in a reboot of 'National Lampoon's Vacation'.
