Elton John: Would "definitely" like having another child
Elton John has revealed that he "definitely" would like another child.
The star welcomed his first child Zachary with partner David Furnish via surrogacy in December 2010.
John stated that he hopes to raise a second child with Furnish in the near future, but has yet to make any formal plans.
"We definitely will [have a second child]," he told Daybreak. "At what stage, we don't know. We don't want him to be an only child."
While talking about becoming a father, he said: "It changes everybody. It's the most wonderful thing you can go through.
"I regretted that I didn't do it sooner, but he's changed our lives."
The singer-songwriter continued: "I lived a rock star life until 1991, then it became a much more adult life.
"I'm glad I lived those years, because I appreciate now what I'm doing. I was lucky to find my partner, that's been the saving grace of my life."
The English artist added that Zachary often joins him on stage after a gig to play the piano, and that he "knows" what he does for a living, despite not yet having seen a show.
John then brought his son out to join him for the interview, before revealing his first words were "broad bean".
Sir Elton John looks set to top this week's album chart with his collaboration project with Pnau.
