John Travolta: Praised by co-star Taylor Kitsch; attributed as a "special actor"
The 'Savages' star Taylor Kitsch has praised John Travolta as a "special actor".
Travolta has talked about his "respect" for his fellow cast member in Oliver Stone's latest movie.
When asked whether he discussed an intense confrontation with Travolta's character beforehand, Kitsch told Collider: "Obviously, it's John Travolta and you just respect a guy like that.
"He's an icon, for a reason. I think it takes a special actor, which he is, just to give you that scene, in that way.
"I've worked with lesser actors that are more worried about how they're going to come out of the scene than the scene itself.
"It just says so much to John that he was like, 'Yeah, let's make this scene incredibly memorable and let it just serve the script, and not selfishly our characters or ourselves'."
Kitsch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as marijuana growers who share a girlfriend (Blake Lively).
The pair must confront a deadly cartel after its leaders (Salma Hayek and Benicio Del Toro) kidnap their lover.
In this film, Travolta features as a corrupt DEA agent.
Both Lively and Kitsch have discussed the "awkward" sex scene which the three stars shared early on in filming.
This new movie 'Savages' will debut on July 6 in the US and on September 28 in the UK.
