Guy Pearce: To play main villain in sequel 'Iron Man 3'
Actor Guy Pearce will play the main villain in 'Iron Man 3'.
The star signed on in April to star as scientist Aldrich Killian in the upcoming installment of Marvel's movie franchise.
Pearce joins Sir Ben Kingsley, who was previously thought to be the main threat in the movie.
Pearce's character will be the creator of something known as 'The Extremis project', a scientific experiment he uses to power his 'Extremis Army', according to Latino Review.
Starring also as foils to Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark are Ashley Hamilton and James Badge Dale, who are playing minions using Killian's super powered technology.
Recently, images of Dale in costume as his character Coldblood have emerged.
Earlier, it was announced that Jon Favreau, director of Iron Man and Iron Man 2, will return to the third installment as an actor.
The forthcoming sequel 'Iron Man 3' is due for release in May 2013.
