Alec Baldwin: Describes paparazzi as a 'menace'
Actor Alec Baldwin has described the paparazzi as a "menace".
Baldwin allegedly attacked a photographer in New York on June 19 after leaving the city's marriage license bureau with his fiancée Hilaria Thomas.
At a screening of his newest movie To Rome with Love, Baldwin confessed that he finds the "illegitimate press" to be very difficult.
"[It's] a very stressful thing because for me, it's ruining the life of my wife-to-be, and what if I had a kid?" he told Access Hollywood.
"It really is something that's become a menace," he added. "Most of the paparazzi have their foot out to trip you. They want you to fall on the ground and they want to get that shot.
"They want you to pick your nose and get that shot. They want to provoke you or catch you. They're not there to make you look good. The paparazzi are never there to make you look good, never."
The Rock of Ages star dismissed reports on Wednesday (June 20) that, he "shoved and punched" the photographer, saying he simply pushed him out of the way.
