 Hilary Duff: Gets sued by car crash victim
Actress Hilary Duff has been hit with a lawsuit stemming from a car crash in 2010, it has been reported.
TMZ reports that a woman named Rachel Owens is accusing the former Lizzie McGuire star of crashing her Range Rover into a car driven by Owens. The claimant alleges that she sustained major injuries.
Owens claims that she underwent "great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering," after the crash, saying that she has now been "prevented from attending her usual occupation for a period of time in the future."
She is now demanding an unspecified amount in damages from Duff in a Los Angeles court filing.
Recently Duff gave birth to her first child, baby son Luca Cruz.
The 24-year-old star, who has plans to release a fifth studio album, has yet to comment on the pending lawsuit.
