Michael Jackson: Estate property sued for $1bn by 'woman who inspired songs'

Late singer Michael Jackson's estate has been sued in a $1 billion lawsuit.

It has been claimed by Kimberly Griggs that she and the 'This Is It' singer had an affair in 1979, which he apparently later used as inspiration for songs from several of his subsequent albums including Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, and Dangerous.

Further, Griggs goes on to allege in the handwritten suit that Jackson promised to give her rights to his music as an apology for sharing their supposed relationship through his tracks.

Griggs says that she was shocked to learn she was left out of Jackson's will when he died in 2009, according to TMZ.

Now, she is demanding $1 billion in damages from the Jackson estate.

However, most of the late performer's money will go to his three children, including daughter Paris Jackson, who will appear in an upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey on the OWN network.

Although, the Jackson estate has yet to respond to Griggs's demands.
