Hugh Jackman: To be present to collect award at the Tony Awards

Hugh Jackman is to attend the 66th annual Tony Awards, it has been confirmed.

The awards' official website revealed that Jackman will be at this weekend's ceremony in New York City to collect a Special Award honoring his contribution to musical theatre.

Jackman won a Tony Award for his role in The Boy From Oz in 2004. He has hosted the awards ceremony on three separate occasions, winning the Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Individual Performer In A Variety, Musical or Comedy Program' in 2004.

He also made an appearance last year, performing a skit about hosting awards shows with Neil Patrick Harris.

Jackman is currently filming Les Misérables in London.

The Tony Awards will air live on Sunday, June 10 from 8/7c on CBS.
