Kylie Minogue: Longs to return back to acting
Aussie singer Kylie Minogue has spoken of her "deep longing" to return to acting.
The 'Timebomb' singer, who first rose to fame outside of Australia playing Charlene Mitchell on Neighbours, said that appearing in Holy Motors had given her renewed enthusiasm for acting.
Kylie told The Guardian: "I'd definitely love to do more acting. My heart cries out for it; it's such a deep longing.
"For years I've been waiting to get back into it and it just hasn't happened. Or, it has happened and it was so disastrous that I thought: 'Oh, it's just not for me.'"
The artist continued: "I've got a lot of work to do before people stop thinking, 'Oh, what's Kylie Minogue doing in a film?' But this has made me feel it's possible to do something beautiful and challenging, and to be believable as someone else."
The entertainer's other previous acting credits include roles in Moulin Rouge!, The Delinquents, Street Fighter and the Doctor Who 2007 Christmas special 'Voyage of the Damned'.
