Lindsay Lohan: First picture as Elizabeth Taylor in 'Liz & Dick' releases
First official image from Lifetime's 'Liz & Dick' has been released (pictured above).
This new image features Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor and True Blood's Grant Bowler as Richard Burton.
Production on Liz & Dick started on Monday (June 4) in Los Angeles. The film is expected to debut on Lifetime later this year.
The film centres on Taylor's fourth and fifth marriages, both of which were to Burton. Producer Larry Thompson has insisted that there is plenty of chemistry between the pair, who have an 18-year age gap.
"We knew from the chemistry that Liz and Dick live again," Thompson said.
In May, Lifetime president Nancy Dubuc said that Lohan is very similar to Taylor in real life, adding that the Mean Girls star was perfectly cast as Taylor.
"I think the parallels between Liz Taylor's story and Lindsay's story are undeniable," Dubuc commented.
