Eva Longoria: Brands Teri Hatcher as 'loner'

Eva Longoria has branded co-star Teri Hatcher as "a loner".

Longoria, who played Gabrielle Solis in the ABC series, refuted persistent rumors of there being "bad blood" between Hatcher (Susan Delfino) and the rest of the cast, saying that the actress simply liked to keep her distance.

"You know, Teri was just a loner," she told OK. "Me and Marcia [Cross] and Felicity [Huffman] were a lot closer because we are just girlie girls who like to be in each other's company.

"Teri didn't. There was no bad blood, I think that was just the way it was."

The Desperate Housewives actress also denied that her relationship with ex-Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan had been damaged after she unsuccessfully sued creator Marc Cherry for battery and wrongful dismissal.

"We were pretty removed from the court case," she revealed. "But Nicollette is great, she is a great girl. She's just a fun girl to hang out with."

James Denton, who played Hatcher's on-screen husband Mike Delfino, recently admitted that he was not sure why the 47-year-old had been excluded from a goodbye gift given to Cherry by her co-stars.

"It could be as simple as they couldn't get together on it, but Teri did do her own gift as well, so if she did get left out, she made up for it," he said. "I can honestly say I don't have any idea what the backstory is on the gift."
