Adam Lambert: Becomes first out gay artist to claim US Billboard 200 No.1
Talented popstar Adam Lambert has claimed his first US number one album.
The singer's second album Trespassing (check out the video below) has topped the Billboard 200 chart with sales of 77, 000.
MTV reports that, this collection beat Adele's 21 to the summit, which resides at number two with sales of 65, 000.
The feat means the American Idol alumni is the first out gay artist to have a number one album in the US after only its first week on release.
Adam's Trespassing follows his 2009 debut For Your Entertainment, which reached number three upon its release.
The second single to be lifted from the album will be 'Never Close Our Eyes' and the star teased the accompanying music video earlier this week.
On July 2, Lambert will release Trespassing in the UK ahead of his London Hammersmith Apollo shows with Queen on July 11, 12 and 14.
