Michael Jackson: Music album 'Bad' to be reissued this year for 25th anniversary
King of Pop's album 'Bad' will be re-issued later this year.
The iconic record of Michael Jackson will be repackaged as Bad 25 to celebrate its 25th anniversary and will include a collection of outtakes and demos.
This new 3 CD/1 DVD box set will feature a remastered version of Bad and a disc containing previously unreleased material recorded in Jackson's personal studio at Hayvenhurst.
The DVD will include footage from Jackson's 1988 performance at Wembley Stadium, which has been lifted from the late star's personal VHS collection.
"The era of Bad represented Michael's creative 'coming of age' as a solo artist in charge of every aspect of his career - from recording to touring to endorsements to merchandising," stated John Branca and John McClain, Co-Executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson.
"This was the first album on which nearly all of the songs were written by Michael. It was also the first album in history to produce five consecutive number one singles and it took two-and-a-half decades for another artist to match that success.
"It was also the first time Michael would tour as a solo artist - his vision, his decisions on what the show would be."
Bad's first single- 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You', will be released as a CD single on June 4 as part of the celebrations.
This special repackaged edition box set of Bad will then follow on September 17 and a day later in the US.
