 Elton John: Admitted to hospital for 'serious respiratory infection'
Sir Elton John has reportedly been hospitalized for a respiratory infection.
The talented star checked into Los Angeles's Cedars-Sinai Hospital yesterday, according to TMZ.
John is thought to have had a number of tests and may now have been released from the institution.
Although, John has allegedly been forced to cancel four concerts due to take place in Las Vegas this weekend.
The tour cancelations come after doctors advised John not to perform for a week, adding that he needs "complete rest and antibiotic treatment to prevent damage".
The musician is quoted as saying that not performing "feels strange", adding: "I love performing the show and I will be thrilled when we return to the Colosseum in October to complete the 11 concerts.
"All I can say to the fans is, 'Sorry I can't be with you'."
