 Donna Summer: To be laid to rest on Wednesday in private funeral
Legendary singer Donna Summer is to be laid to rest in a private funeral ceremony on Wednesday (May 23).
On May 17, the singer died at her Florida home at the age of 63, after a battle with lung cancer.
Reportedly, Summer told friends she believed dust particles from the 9/11 attacks were responsible for her sickness.
Friends and family will pay their respects to the disco singer in an invitation-only ceremony at a church in Nashville, Tennessee, reports TMZ.
The late singer's family has said that they do not want any media coverage of the event, and a strict guest list has been created.
From all over the country, around 1,000 guests are expected to attend the funeral of the Queen of Disco.
