 Katy Perry: Performs new single 'Wide Awake' live on TV
Popstar Katy Perry has performed her new single live on television for the first time.
The star will release 'Wide Awake' as the official eighth single from her Teenage Dream album campaign.
The singer was hoisted above the stage on a cloth swing during the performance, while clouds moved behind her.
'Wide Awake' is scheduled to coincide with the release of the star's new concert film Part of Me 3D, which will be in cinemas from July 5.
Perry filmed an accompanying music video for 'Wide Awake' earlier this month and asked fans which costume from her 'California Dreams' world tour should be featured in it.
The performer's repackaged album Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection is out now.
