Jennifer Lopez: Denies claims of quitting 'American Idol'
'Powerful celebrity' Jennifer Lopez has clarified reports suggesting that she will definitely leave American Idol.
The American Idol judge said during an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres's talkshow earlier this week that, in spite of how much she enjoys working on the show, she feels that such a commitment can "lock you down".
J Lo wrote on her Twitter page after Thursday (May 17) night's semi-final results show: "There is no truth to reports that say I am definitely leaving Idol. All I said was I haven't decided what I am doing next year. #mediaremix (sic).
"When I know for sure what I'm doing I will let the #LOVE!RS know! #FYITweets."
Currently Lopez sits on the judging panel with Randy Jackson and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, having originally signed up for the show's tenth season last year.
The 'Dance Again' singer will embark on a joint North American tour this summer with Enrique Iglesias.
The finals for this season of the American Idol will take place on Tuesday, May 22 and Wednesday, May 23 at 8/7c on Fox.
