Rihanna: Confirmed to perform for 'American Idol' final
Popstar Rihanna will perform on the American Idol grand finale later this month, it has been confirmed.
On Tuesday evening (May 8), Broadcasters Fox released a statement, confirming that the Talk That Talk singer will perform her new single 'Where Have You Been' on Wednesday, May 23.
This season, the previous performers have included Coldplay, Lana Del Rey, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry, while numerous Idol alumni including last year's winner Scotty McCreery have also returned to the show.
Jennifer Lopez will perform during this week's results show on Thursday, May 10.
Earlier this year, it was rumored that producers were talking to Rihanna and former boyfriend Chris Brown about the possibility of a duet, following their collaboration on remixes of each others' songs.
Last four contestant singers - Hollie Cavanagh, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez - are still in contention for the American Idol title.
