Susan Boyle, Helen Mirren: Chosen for British Queen's Diamond Jubilee pageant
The celeb guests for the Windsor Castle Diamond Jubilee pageant have been confirmed.
The event will take place in the private grounds of Windsor Castle from Thursday, May 10 to Sunday, May 13, and will be celebrating the British queen's passion for horses
Celebrities like Dame Helen Mirren, Susan Boyle, Il Divo, Martin Clunes and Omid Djalili are among the star guests, while Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will be in attendance on the Sunday evening.
In the meantime, Alan Titchmarsh will host coverage of the Jubilee curtain raiser, which will be broadcast on ITV1 in early June.
In a statement, director and producer of the ceremony, Simon Brooks Ward, said: "We have been overwhelmed by the goodwill and support from stars across the globe, who each have their own personal memories of The Queen, and share an enormous amount of love and respect for her work.
"The Diamond Jubilee Pageant will reflect the truly global impact The Queen has had during her 60-year reign by bringing horses, people, music and their culture from around the world to join the party.
"When you think of all the State occasions The Queen has been involved with, horses have always been there. The Queen's passion for horses is one that the public recognise as her most treasured."
