 Dannii Minogue: Split with partner Kris Smith confirmed
Australian singer-songwriter Dannii Minogue has confirmed that she and partner Kris Smith have split up.
The actress posted a statement on Twitter on Wednesday morning (April 4) confirming press speculation suggesting that the pair had separated.
Minogue wrote: "It brings me great sadness to tell you that Kris and I have separated.
"We still care for each other and ask for privacy at this difficult time, in particular for our son Ethan who remains our number one priority."
She also thanked followers for their "ever loving continued support".
The Australia's Got Talent judge met model and former professional rugby league player Smith in Ibiza during 2008. They became parents to Ethan in July 2010.
It was reported by the Australian media yesterday (April 3) that Smith moved out of the home he shared with Minogue around two weeks ago.
Last summer, sources claimed that the couple's relationship had been placed under pressure as a result of the former X Factor panellist's busy work schedule.
