Rihanna: Plans working on own fashion line with designers she 'respects'
Pop icon Rihanna has revealed plans to launch her own clothing line.
Recently, the singer worked with Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani Underwear, where she designed apparel and accessories for the fashion company. Her next collaborative line with Armani is set to hit stores this spring.
Rihanna has now told On Air with Ryan Seacrest: "I'm really pursuing a fashion line of my own. I want to design. This is also a road that I want to earn it.
"So I'm working with designers. Designers that I respect, and [fashion] companies that I respect. I want people to really trust me before I just say 'Buy it, because it's mine'."
The 'Talk That Talk' singer recently hit a milestone in her music career, selling 15 million records in the UK.
"Rihanna's only 24 and I have no doubt she'll sell another 15 million records in the near future," Mercury Music Group president Jason Iley said. "It's not about speed, it's about longevity, and Rihanna has a long career ahead of her."
