Whoopi Goldberg: To guest star in 'Glee' for three episodes
Oscar-winning star Whoopi Goldberg has signed on to guest star in Glee, it has been revealed.
Goldberg is set to play a character named Carmen Tibideaux, and will appear in three episodes, according to TVLine.
The character will be a drama professor at the New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts, who travels to Ohio to judge Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel's (Lea Michele) auditions.
The actress, who is currently a host on ABC's The View, recently signed up to appear in family comedy The Middle.
Actor Matt Bomer, star of 'White Collar', has also been announced as an upcoming guest star, playing Darren Criss's on-screen brother.
On May 1, the first episode of Whoopi Goldberg's Glee appearance is scheduled to air on Fox in the US and later on Sky1 in the UK.
