 Naomi Campbell: Got rejection from donating blood
Brazil said ‘no’ to top-shot model Naomi Campbell, the supermodel. In spite of her willingness to donate blood for fighting epidemic that has spread at Brazil due to dengue fever, the officials have put forth their objection then and there.
The incident has sprung up in a dramatic way. On Tuesday when Naomi Campbell arrived at the HemoRio medical center to actively participate in blood donation spree, she was turned away. Officials said that she was being prohibited since she had to undergone a surgery in the month of February this year.
The recent outbreak of ‘mosquito-borne dengue fever’ has spread infection to more than seventy five thousand people in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this year thereby taking lives of at least eighty people.
Naomi Campbell is closely associated with Brazil and its people. Time and again, she visits the country. To top it all, Rio Mayor Cesar Maia also has sent invitation to her for the visits and referred Naomi Campbell as a goodwill ambassador of the city. |
