 Lily Collins: Signs for film adaptation of 'The Mortal Instruments'
Pretty and charming Lily Collins has been cast in The Mortal Instruments.
This new film, directed by Harald Zwart of 2010's The Karate Kid, is an adaptation of Cassandra Clare's book series The Mortal Instruments.
The actress will play the lead role of New York teenager Clary, who comes to discovery of her family's lineage as half-angel warriors called Shadowhunters, reports Deadline.
After the disappearance of her mother, Clary joins a group of Shadowhunters, who fight to protect the world from demons.
The new 'The Mortal Instruments' will be penned by Jessica Postigo and I Marlene King.
