Olivia Wilde: 'I am too sexy to play pornstar Linda Lovelace'
Monday 5, March 2012
'In Time' actress Olivia Wilde has claimed that she turned down the chance to star in Lovelace because she felt too sexy for the film.
Wilde gave her backing to Amanda Seyfried's casting as Linda Lovelace, describing her as "innocent" enough to portray the porn icon turned activist.
"I pulled out of the Linda Lovelace biopic," Wilde confirmed to GQ. "I decided that it should go to someone who is not already sexualised by the public - Linda Lovelace was an innocent.
"Amanda will do an amazing job. I would like to play roles that are in no way sexualised."
The biopic wrapped at the beginning of February and a poster based on her film Deep Throat was later unveiled, with Seyfried replicating the adult film star's pose.
Other actors like Peter Sarsgaard, Chris Noth, Juno Temple, Eric Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker and James Franco also star in 'Lovelace'.
'Striptease' star Demi Moore had originally been cast as feminist writer Gloria Steinem, but was replaced by Parker following her admission to rehab.
