 Jewel Kilcher: Will be Nashville Star's judge
Jewel Kilcher, the singer-cum-songwriter, will take the seat of a judge on the forthcoming season of the popular program titled "Nashville Star." It compiles of ‘country music reality series’ which will be premiered on 9th June.
There are more laurels associated with Jewel Kilcher. Last year, Jewel became the host of the national talent search, which is set out on its venture of finding the next country music star.
Thirty three year old Jewel Kilcher is quite excited about her upcoming project. According to her , she is quite honored for being able to carry forward the glorious tradition of "Nashville Star," which has recently been switched to NBC after completing five seasons on ‘cable's USA Network’.
Remembering her past days, Jewel Kilcher said "As a young artist, I really benefited from having great mentors like Bob Dylan and Merle Haggard. They took me under their wings and encouraged me to stand up for things that, as an artist, are important". "They constantly reminded me that an artist's only concern is being great, not being famous. If you are truly great, success should follow."
Jewel Kilcher is a popular name in the world of music. In fact she has been nominated three times for Grammy awards. She had a string of pop and rock hits viz. "Foolish Games," "You Were Meant for Me," "Hands," "Stand" and "Intuition." Also her first single, titled "Stronger Woman," is a chartbuster. Her country album, "Perfectly Clear," is waiting to get released on 3rd June. |
