Mel Gibson: Completes programme on anger management
Middle-aged actor Mel Gibson has proved that he has conquered his anger problems, a court has heard.
The lawyer of the star appeared before a judge today (March 1) to testify that Gibson has completed the required number of anger management therapy sessions as ordered by the court.
Blair Berk, Gibson's legal representative, told Judge Stephanie Sautner that the star has in fact exceeded expectations, reports TMZ.
He is now expected to avoid trouble for the next two years, in order to be released from informal probation following issues with his ex-girlfriend.
The star pleaded no contest to battery against Oksana Grigorieva last March when he also enrolled in a domestic violence programme.
The Oscar-winning director was sentenced to 36 months of probation and ordered to attend 52 weeks of domestic violence counselling.
