 Rachel Weisz: Returns to tinsel town
The Oscar winning actress, Rachel Weisz comes back to action in full swing. After giving birth to her first child she went on a long break for 2 months. Now she is into full fledged acting taking up challenging roles that range from a boozer to an aged philosopher.
This thirty seven year old gorgeous actress from Britain recently has finished her work of production of a film. It is based on "Lord of the Rings"’s director, Peter Jackson’s adaptation of "The Lovely Bones,” the best-selling novel. This hi-profile film is scheduled to be released sometime in the following year. Apart from this, presently Rachel Weisz is starred in "My Blueberry Nights."
For the fans, she has planned to dish out more. By the end of this year, Rachel Weisz will be seen opposite to Mark Ruffalo and Adrien Brody, another Oscar winner. They are part of cast of quack comedy titled "The Brothers Bloom.”
Talking more about her acting in "Blueberry Nights", Rachel Weisz has revealed some of her true feelings. In fact it is one of the coveted projects that have come on her way since she grabbed the Academy Award in the category of best supporting actress. She got this accolade for her brilliant on-screen portrayal of a determined social activist and also wife of a diplomat in "The Constant Gardener. Based on novel of John le Carre, it was released in the year 2005.
So far as the other forthcoming venture is concerned, in "The Brothers Bloom,” Rachel Weisz plays a lighter role of a wealthy but protected heiress. It will go on screen in coming October.
"I've been offered more interesting roles with incredibly interesting directors and I'm sure the Oscar has a lot to do with that," said the actress, who first gained wide U.S. notice in the 1999 blockbuster remake of "The Mummy." adds Rachel Weisz, reminiscing her past achievements.
Rachel Weisz, the London-born daughter of Jewish parents who ran away from Nazi-occupied Hungary and Austria, has seen lots of ups and downs in her career since her performance in her own Cambridge University stage troupe.
Rachel Weisz’s passion for acting is being clearly reflected when she commented "I feel like I just started and hopefully I'm going to be acting when I'm an old lady".
In spite of all the success still she is quite simple and witty at heart. She just loves to climb trees and discards all sorts of nuances of formal attiring.
Rachel Weisz said "Hollywood's about dressing up and that's fun," "I kind of enjoy dressing up ... (But) right now I'm in jeans and sneakers and ready to scale a tree. I don't think that ever goes away. The tomboy doesn't go away."  |
