Lindsay Lohan is reportedly working hard to perfect her performance as Elizabeth Taylor.

The star is to play the late star in the Lifetime TV movie Liz and Dick, and is said to be taking her part extremely seriously.

Production for the film will begin in March when Lohan's probation period ends.

A source has now said that the troubled star is "obsessing over getting the part right".

The insider told TMZ that she is spending all of her time watching old Elizabeth Taylor motion pictures to analyse her speech and posture, reading up about her life and watching interviews featuring her online.

The 24-year-old is expected to receive a good probation report when she returns to court for an assessment today.
