Chris Tucker: Owes income tax of $12 million

Actor Chris Tucker's ongoing tax battle with the IRS has escalated.

Chris, who recently sold two luxury homes to help pay off $11m (then £7.3m) in back taxes, has just had another half a million dollars added to his debt.

Originally, Tucker owed the US government for unpaid federal taxes from 2001 and 2002, and 2004 through 2006.

The state of Georgia has now also filed a new tax complaint against the comedian for unfiled taxes in 2007, raising his overall owed amount to over $12m (£7.6m), according to 'Black Thespian'.

The 'Rush Hour' actor faces serious jail time if he does not pay the money back soon.
