Overwiew :Iris (Laura Linney, YOU CAN COUNT ON ME) is a young widow who must move back in with her domineering mother, Min (Gena Rowlands), following the death of her husband. Set against the backdrop of Min's dress shop, mother and daughter work through years of resentment, driving Iris to drink. Meanwhile, Iris's young teenage son, Lonnie (Emile Hirsch) finds himself torn between the two women.
