www.eye.net - : It seems very Canadian of Matt Gissing and Malcolm Ingram -- the Vancouver-based team whose first film, Drawing Flies, was made partially due to the patronage of school buddy Kevin Smith -- to take such a modest approach to what should be wild abandon. The ingredients are there for a Corman-calibre youth-exploitation road movie -- big cars, pot, loud rock 'n' roll and Denise Richards -- but Tail Lights Fade fights so hard to be meaningful that it's ultimately not much fun. more...
