Overwiew :Coffee and Cigarettes, is a collection of series of strange encounters Jarmusch has been capturing in short films since the mid-1980s. Jarmusch takes our attention to the normal pace of the world from an extraordinary angle, the characters in this comic series of short vignettes discuss things as diverse as caffeine popsicles, Paris in the twenties, and the use of nicotine as an insecticide all the while sitting around sipping coffee and smoking cigarettes. They babble and prattle about anything and everything, often carrying on bizarre and extended conversations even when they have little to say.
