  Critic Reviews  Grade
USA Today - Claudia Puig : Though the plot turns of this ultra-light comedy of manners may not stay with you after the lights go up, the agile performances of the two lead actresses give heft to this trifling tale.   more...   B
Seattle Post-Intelligencer - William Arnold : Sporadically enjoyable and always gorgeous to behold.   more...   B-
San Francisco Chronicle - Ruthe Stein : Frothy and exuberantly entertaining - in part because of the sexual innuendoes - it's the best romantic comedy so far this year.   more...   A
ReelViews - James Berardinelli : A female buddy movie frosted with elements of whimsy and a little romance.   more...   A-
New York Times - Stephen Holden : An example of how a little nothing of a story can be inflated into a little something of a movie with perfect casting, dexterous tonal manipulation and an astute eye and ear for detail.   more...   B
New York Post - Lou Lumenick : Quite watchable (if instantly forgettable) thanks to gorgeous sets and the delightful Adams.   more...   C
Los Angeles Times - Carina Chocano : Frances McDormand and Amy Adams charm in the light, fun romantic fantasy.   more...   B
Hollywood Reporter - Kirk Honeycutt : Lighter-than-air social comedy set in London, circa 1939, gives Frances McDormand and Amy Adams wonderfully showy roles.   more...   B
Filmcritic.com - Bill Gibron : Harkens back to those days of ditzy heiresses, silly playboys, and suave leading men. And for the most part, it succeeds.   more...   B-
Entertainment Weekly - Lisa Schwarzbaum : Adams is a peach.   more...   C+
Chicago Tribune - Michael Phillips : A charming Cinderella story.   more...   B
Boston Globe - Wesley Morris : It's polished-looking, yet dull.   more...   C

Excellent movie. Great casting and acting. Great screenplay. Although the story is predictable, all the setup and acting are good. Amy Adams' acting is marvelous.
