This is one of the rare occasions where the movie does do justice to the written work. This movie is thoughtful, intelligent, entertaining and just beautiful to watch. | | | | Reply | | | internetlad_nyn says @ Thursday - January 10,2008
The hurt and the guilt of the story are conveyed beautifully by the cast and director. A great movie of the year. | | | | Reply | | | doncrazzy says @ Thursday - January 10,2008
This movie starts off very slow and despite a few unexpected turns, it never develops into a realistic or tangible plot. The guy goes to prison and suffers but you never see it. He suddenly appears to be in the British Army without reason. | | | | Reply | | | lizrep says @ Saturday - December 15,2007
Atonement is really a great movie. The acting from the two leads, James McAvoy and Keira Knightley are brilliant. The chemistry is clearly there. I must see it again. | | | | Reply | | | zelda286 says @ Saturday - December 15,2007
This was only Wright's second feature film, and he has already established himself as an accomplished director. "Pride and Prejudice" is a good film, but "Atonement" is better. | | | | Reply | | | kkgs1kirk says @ Saturday - December 15,2007
These characters and their story will live within me for a long time. This will be one of my all time favorite movies. | | | | Reply | | | lolypopcutie says @ Saturday - December 15,2007
Atonement bored me. It starts very slowly, and except for a very few scenes maintains that pace. | | | | Reply | | | johndeanm says @ Wednesday - December 12,2007
This movie was amazing. I absolutely loved it. It was a tragic romance but it was wonderfully written, acted and everything else. The actors were chosen perfectly. Keira Knightley and James McAvoy were great. | | | | Reply | | | salesc says @ Tuesday - December 11,2007
Atonement is a fantastic movie, and I think that it has some great actors, and actresses in it. Keira Knightley plays her part very well. | | | | Reply | | | kazhobbs says @ Tuesday - December 11,2007
Unbelievable. Atonement was a brilliant movie. The plot revolves around a precocious 13 year-old girl who sees what she wants to see based on her misconstrued perception of events involving her sister. | | | | Reply | | | AFPRINCESS112 says @ Tuesday - December 11,2007
Atonement is one of the best movies of the year. The soundtrack was awesome, the editing was great, and the story was a very good. The actor's bring some youthfulness to the film which is great. | | | | Reply | | |
