The acting by Denzel and Russell was superb as expected. Some others were also good. Joe Morton, and Chitofel (Huey) also put in a good performance. The production and direction are top notch, but the screenplay was unorganized and disappointed me. | | | | Reply | | |

Overall this movie is definitely worth seeing. It starts out strong, but slows a little towards the end. Frank Lucas was a drug dealer. When he got caught and thrown into the jail, he turned on all family members he brought in to the business. This movie is really one good movie I want to recommend.
"American Gangster" is one of those kinda movie comparable to "Godfather" or "Good Fellas".
