The acting by Denzel and Russell was superb as expected. Some others were also good. Joe Morton, and Chitofel (Huey) also put in a good performance. The production and direction are top notch, but the screenplay was unorganized and disappointed me.

American Gangster was a really good flick. It had amazing acting mixed with scenes that shed a new light on drug-trafficking. American Gangster is one of the best films I've seen.

Overall this movie is definitely worth seeing. It starts out strong, but slows a little towards the end. Frank Lucas was a drug dealer. When he got caught and thrown into the jail, he turned on all family members he brought in to the business. As he got out of jail early, his family spent the rest of their life in jail.

This movie is really one good movie I want to recommend.
"American Gangster" is one of those kinda movie comparable to "Godfather" or "Good Fellas".
The movie is really great. Specially the scripting is awesome. There is not a lot of action but it's very detailed.

It's great to see a nice trifecta hit. When you have world class horses like Denzel, Russell, and Ridley Scott, your bet is usually a sure thing. Every aspect of this movie is what you would come to expect from this trio.

The start of the movie was slow. I saw how corrupted the law enforcement was, but that has changed. I know that a teenager will sneak to view the movie.
