www.film.u-net.com - : One of the most overblown and lightweight additions to the James Bond canon, Moonraker is saved from ignominy by decent effects and the hulking presence of Jaws. The film kicks off to such a promising start too, with the curious sight of a Boeing 747 giving a piggyback ride - to a shuttle! rogerebert.suntimes.com - : The stars of this movie are Ken Adam, the art director, and Derek Meddings, in charge of special effects. Indeed, while parts of Moonraker are rather silly (a trend during Roger Moore's tenure), solid special effects, well-executed action sequences, and a strict reliance upon the ''Bond Formula'' keep this film among Moore's better entries as the British superspy. more...
