I didn't mind the narration, but wouldn't it have been interest ing if the words on the sound track had tried to reflected what might really go through a horse's mind - instead of turning it into a sort of sensitive human observer? Young girls, especially, who read Anne Sewell's novel over and over, will be in heaven. Though I take half a star off for the Sean Bean con and another half off for that jittery narration, Black Beauty is an exquisite film, one you simply must have for your own. more...
