Overwiew :The true tale of Marita Lorenz (Anwar), a young American woman who, in 1959, falls in love with Fidel Castro (Mantegna) as she is living in Havana as his translator. She becomes pregnant with his child, but before reaching the full term, she awakens in a hospital in New York and is told by her CIA agent mother that Castro ordered her to have an abortion. The CIA in turn trains her to return to Cuba and assassinate Castro, but she can not bring herself to do it. Years later, she makes a startling discovery about their affair. |
